This is such a sweet little book. Allison, a woman with a scandalous secret, charms Gene Nelson a rancher with a scandalous past. Gene’s wild past is a threat to Allisons reputation but their attraction is undeniable and insatiable. He is a charmer and he goes for exactly what he wants. Allison even though secretive and reserved warms his burdened heart and they find comfort in each others wounded souls. This leads to such an explosive passion.

I mean, the things this man is saying to the innocent girl! I was gasping for air. Such a little scandalous book. I loved it.

The book was written over 20 years ago so try not to read it with modern eyes.

Just maybe because Gene refers to Allison as ‘Cupcake’ makes the book a little more relatable.

3/5 ✨

Nothing in life is constant but change and dealing with change is central to one's growth. Heraclitus noted that “everything changes and nothing stands still.”
